Help & How-To

Follow these steps to run your raffle with confidence. Rainbow Raffle keeps everything on this device unless you export it manually.

1. Prepare your entries

  • Gather your list in a spreadsheet or note app using Name,Chances per line.
  • Paste it into Paste entries. The editor accepts commas or tabs and ignores blank lines.
  • Need sample data? Use the placeholder, then overwrite it with your own roster.

2. Save & customize

  • Choose a title in Raffle title; the wheel and badge update instantly.
  • Select Save Entries to lock in your dataset. Rainbow Raffle stores it in your browser only.
  • Use Revert to reload the last saved snapshot without changing drawn winners.
  • Dial in Raffle Settings to pick prize count, allow repeat winners, and set the spin speed.

3. Spin winners

  • Press Spin Winner #N to animate the wheel. Chances determine slice size automatically.
  • Winners move to the celebration list and no longer appear on the wheel.
  • Need a do-over? Use Reset Raffle to clear winners while keeping your entries.

4. Import, export, share

  • Export Data creates a JSON file you can archive or email to teammates.
  • Import Data restores an export, including saved winners, on any device.
  • Clear Stored Data wipes everything from this browser if you are finished.

Quick answers

Why are my entries still there after closing the tab?

The app saves your raffle in local storage so you can resume later. Clear it with Clear Stored Data or your browser privacy tools.

How do I add more chances for someone already entered?

Edit the line in the editor, add the extra number of chances, then click Save Entries. Duplicate names are merged automatically.

Can multiple hosts collaborate in real time?

The demo wheel runs offline. Cloud sync, live dashboards, and collaboration arrive with our upcoming Pro plan.
